Copperlan and Avid C24-controller problem

This is the problem: Enabling the network for Copperlan on my Mac Pro (Protools 10 HD)
has the effect that the ethernet connection between ProTools and the C24 controller get broken and the controller goes offline. This problem stays, even the C24 is direct connected by a crossover cable on the second network port and Copperlan is enabled for the first Port.
Btw: Audio-network applications like Vienna Ensemble Pro and MuseResearch Uniwire can be used without any problems.
Thank you for the help.

One suspected cause is a possible interaction with the virtual MIDI ports. This should not happen on a MAC, but who knows...
Could you please try the following:
- In the CopperLan Manager, Editor tab, Midi settings: ensure that the [MIDI port auto-handling] is OFF.
- Reboot the system

Hope that this helps.

Regarding your BTW comment, do you mean that Vienna and Muse work fine with Protools or with CopperLan?
Thank you,

Great, that’s it, now it works!
Thank you.

About VSL Ensemble pro, Uniwire and Copperlan: we did’t have any problem at this time. Setup is two MacPro and a Mackbook OS 32bit with Copperlan, several usb midi-interfaces and contollers (different brands like Akai, Novation, Roland, Esi, Motu…), and two Windows PCs OS 64bit as VSL-Servers mainly with Kontakt 5 and other VSTi’s, two Receptor 2
