Multiple midi devices unamed osx

Multiple midi devices unamed osx

Postby Vinceouille » 24 Apr 2013, 22:41

Hello, sorry for my poor English.
I have a problem in Copperlan Manager on Mac OSX 10.5.8
I am unable to see the names of the midi interfaces. Only the ports name are showing, so when I plug my devices, the ports name of new plugged interfaces are adding with sequential number but as it is the same interface.
I have two Motu Midi Express 128 (8port each) and Emagic MT4 (4 ports).
When i plug the MT4, CP show only the port name (port 1, port 2, port 3, port 4) and when i plug my first Motu port 5 to port 8 appears and when i plug my last Motu no more ports appears. I think CP take the name port for a unique interface because of the missing interface names.
The same configuration on Windows XP works fine for interface naming (except of service crash at session start, have to restart it, and frequently windows freezes, i don't know where can it come from)
Can somebody help me for my OSX and XP problem ?
Thanks

Hello,

which version of CopperLan are you running? you can see it from the CopperLan Manager's About box.

The MacOSX port name and XP crash should be fixed in the latest available version 1.1(3).

Please check you are up to date.

Regards,

/Phil

I tried both 1.0(7)[1.0(15) on "about"] and 1.1.(2) version on Mac OSX
Version used on XP is 1.1.(2)
Thanks
