Actually is does not make sense, at least for the plug-ins we've tested. If the plug-in is not providing a preset list, it usually means that the plug-in is not handling the preset change through the VST/AU standard interface.
Most of plug-ins with dynamic preset list (files on disk, extendable set by download) just expose one (dummy) preset. The sound selection is done using the plug-in's GUI and the current preset is stored in the DAW as a copy of parameters current value.
So we have some ideas on the table, but right now it's not possible the fill manually empty preset list.
