Beta 2.0(7): VST effect plug-in shows up as instrument

Beta 2.0(7): VST effect plug-in shows up as instrument

Postby sunmachine » 12 Oct 2013, 21:13

The copperplugged version of EZmix (VST) shows up as instrument plug-in in Studio One.
The wrapped AU version is recognized correctly as effect plug-in, though.

Really?

this is weird... I s'ill have to finish the Effect AU support but I thought that it's working for VST

I'm surprised that AU effect is working... I still have to make a specific wrapper for effect plug-in since the AU implementation is not the same for instrument and effect.

It's on my to-do list, I'll tell you when it's ok.

Just had a second look to be sure, but it's indeed as I posted above... :D

I noticed that Studio One scanned the wrapped plug-ins again on start up. Are the wrappers written everytime you quit CopperPlug (even when the definitions didn't change)?

Yes the wrapper is overwritten each time CopperPlug is running for the moment. It's a Beta feature that will be removed as soon I'm sure the wrapper update is working fine in all cases.
