Working with Iconnectivity4+

Working with Iconnectivity4+

Postby sjcaldwell » 27 Feb 2017, 20:55

If I install CopperLan, I cannot use Iconnectivity4+ iconfig tool. I suspect copperlan is using the port so I get an error. I have to de-install copperlan to reconfigure my iconnectivity device using iconfig or configure it on a PC not using Copperlan. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Here is the message I get
---------------------------
Communication Error
---------------------------
An unexpected error occured while trying to open a MIDI port. Please refresh to connect device again

Thanks much!

I've been pulling my hair out for days on this. Even logged a call with Iconnecivity. Searched and searched but could not find the answer. For now, I have de-installed CopperLan. If and when I decide to expand my configuration across the network, I'll be back.

Just stop de cpvnm service, use iconnectmidi manager and start copperlan again after closing the iconnectmidi manager. Thats what I do. The same happens with the zoom edit&share software.
