Copperlan and my midi controller

Copperlan and my midi controller

Postby kaoutchou » 14 May 2013, 22:05

Hi,

I'm trying to setup copperlan in my studio. I've been successfull about inserting copperlan in my midi out chain but now I'm stuck trying to use my USB controller on the PC it's connected to, through copperlan instead of regular midi. So I've connected the controller to virtual midi port N°1 like this:

MIDI on my-pc > Controler midi in > Midi virtual cable > Midi/VMid 1 on my-pc

But my sequencer doesn't see any midi coming in when using Vmidi 1.

What's wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

Actually your connection seems correct...

First, check also that your sequencer is listening to the MIDI channel used by the controller.

Then, you could:
- close the sequencer (to free the VMIDI1 port, MIDI port usage is exclusive under Windows)
- launch MIDI-Ox and listen to VMIDI1
- use your controller and see if something is incoming in MIDI-Ox
