Check out how this guy retro-fitted a Roland MV-8800 with an Alex Port and set up as a node on the CopperLan Network: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO6bZwaO1Js

In another video, he shows how he accomplished the Alex retrofit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO6bZwaO1Js

If they could get the price of the Alex down, it would really help spread the awareness by retrofits....I wonder if you can prompt them at all? I think even availability is becoming a problem. The AL88 is way better value ( I just bought 2)..seems strange the Alex is so expensive.

I also have been talking to this guy about his Midi/sysex Controller software design and he sees no problem in integrating CopperLan into his software if the demand is there. He envisages a the ability for a 32 encoder design in the next iteration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC1EdGrBi_E
