Where can I find a version 1.0 download for CopperLan Manage

Alyseum are asking for a firmware upgrade for my 88 - but it requires version 1.0 of CopperLan to perform the upgrade - the box will not currently work without the firmware upgrade and I can't find version 1.0 to perform the upgrade!!! (Painful)

Wow... the CopperLan 1.0 is a very old version. Not sure that it is working with actual operating system versions, especially on Mac which imposed some low-level changes as new version came out...

I can give you a link to the 1.1(1) version, but without guarantee:

Mac: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/215 ... %29%5D.dmg
PC: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/215 ... %29%5D.exe

Unfortunately the instructions are quite explicit - and they say this is a "Mandatory" update

(see attached)

Yes, but this is a very old update procedure... is it possible that you still have today a device running one of the first version of the firmware, never been updated? If so it is a very old device, because as far I know all the Alyseum devices produced after Nov 2012 can be updated automatically by the CopperLan Manager.

The firmware upgrader software must be running alone on the network, with no CopperLan Manager running elsewhere. Did you try to start it anyway?

............ very strange - the Updater shows as being connected to the AL-88 in the Overview tab of CopperLan Manager but the Alyseum Updater window detects no devices!

There is a reason: the firmware upgrade tool and the CopperLan Manager are sharing the same exclusive resource (which is a CopperLan sub-protocol not related to the connections you can monitor in the CopperLan Manager). You MUST shut down the CopperLan Manager, AND THEN launch the firmware upgrader to make it able to see the device.
