Hi
As the title says, will Copperlan being utilizing the new MIDI SDK in Windows 10 that has better performance and less latency?

Any idea when this would role out?

Cheers

We are currently evaluating this new MIDI API and how to use it in the future.

But this new MIDI interface is likely to concern only the management of MIDI devices, I mean the bridges USB MIDI devices <-> CopperLan.

There is no impact for the virtual MIDI ports, our driver is already providing the system, or consuming MIDI issued from the system, as fast as possible. In this case, it is up to the application software (sequencer, DAW...) to use the new MIDI API to enhance the performances. Indeed, in this case CopperLan acts as a virtual hardware, the new API only addresses the software using (virtual) hardware.

In conclusion if you use CopperLan to exchange MIDI between several computers through virtual MIDI ports, there will be no gain under Windows 10, except if your application software (Cubase,...) is using the new MIDI API.
